New Unimarket Updates Are Here!

During September we added a number of improvements to help ensure your users find the products they're looking for quickly and reliably!

Major enhancements to Nova Contracts & Nova Supplier Compliances are currently heading into our Product Launch process, look out for more details soon! We also have some very exciting changes coming within Nova Sourcing to help you process Public Bids or Tenders. 

Hosted Catalog - Search

Within our Procure to Pay module, we know that buyers need to find products in a timely manner while keeping in mind their preferred suppliers and preferential pricing.

To help with this we've oriented our top level search to Products only. For Supplier search, users can continue searching across Suppliers from the Dashboard or by using a curated approach within Guided Buying.

This critical logic change has comes with a number of enhancements to the search results screen:

• Filter products by the following: Categories, Preferred Product Tag & Suppliers
• The Top 5 Categories will be shown as checkbox options, letting you quickly jump into a specific area. For simplicity we've kept this at the Family level (second-highest category)
• Each Filter section can be collapsed/open. If a buyer is always interested in a particular filter type, like Product Tags, this will be saved as a user preference on their account.
• Similar Products can be accessed from the Search Results screen

We are also working on changes to our Relevance Search, to ensure Buyers find results reflecting the intent of their search. eg: searching for 'warm clothes' should bring through 'jacket'. These changes are currently in testing and we're aiming to have them live within then the next month.

For the above Product Search changes: these are available today in Demo and scheduled to go live in Production on 19th October.

Invoicing

We recently made some important updates to our Invoice Upload process. This file can be used to load Invoices in bulk via a flat file into Unimarket. We have a number of customers using this today and even getting Suppliers to fill out the file themselves. It's especially beneficial for large volume recurring invoices, such as utilities, where an integrated invoice may not be appropriate.

This file format now supports the following data 

• Document Reference
• Payment Terms
• Remittance Address
• 1099 Reporting Code (US-based customers only)

We've also modified the Invoice Inbox so that any emails coming from your email domains won't pre-fill the Supplier. This logic is helpful for emails coming from a Supplier themselves (eg: an email from Amazon can be prefilled to their Supplier account), but less useful if your staff or AP teams are forwarding emails on. 

Nova Supplier Management

You may have seen our previous announcement around the new screen for managing suppliers - Efficient Supplier Management. This screen is now live in production and paving the way for our upcoming Compliance Management changes.

We have been monitoring feedback on this screen, and will be adjusting the filters so that all filters are visible by default. We are also investigating the way Search interacts with Bulk Actions to make this easier to use. Look out for those improvements soon!

Expenses

We made a small modification so that Incomplete Expenses can be actioned by either of the following users:

• The user who created the Expense
• The user who the Expense is for, or on behalf of

This should help ensure all Expense Claims contain the required details, receipts and accurate costing information!

We have lots of exciting functionality coming within our Expenses module, including bring through standard rates for Lodging, Meals & Incidentals through GSA data within the US. We are also exploring how we can make Mileage easier to manage, give approvers more ability to make or request changes, and uplifting the experience on mobile devices!
